Indoor smoking/drug used continues to be a problem in Building E of the South 67 Condos, it appears to once again be a continuation from the previous day & is once again verified to be coming from E26 (in all honestly, there's no way you wouldn't smell it walking past your door; I could smell it coming from that directly at my front door, but it's literally gags you outside their front door).  I expect the reason why the pollution has gotten so bad was because there was a long period I was not running my broadcast about the problem while I was doing my washing (I assumed what I was smelling was coming from the scumbags in that unit, but I have to give some leeway when there's something in my unit causing a smell also).

Currently what's being smelled is the e-cig/hookah smell, which is currently EXTREMELY strong in my home office & kitchen.  However when you get near their front door, it becomes obvious the spice/incense smell is also there, which is SO strong, it literally smells like some kind of toxic chemical spill.  I don't know how other's in the building can't put up with it, I'm sure it must be effecting E28 just as much as my unit, especially since it seems to hit E22 (other side of my unit) worse than my unit (I would expect the only reason for that is they have central air running, I have my shut off because of this problem).

I'm going to start doing something different with the logs when the stream is not running & that is embedding a playlist of videos regarding this problem that have been archived.  Right now there really aren't any archived videos of the broadcasts since I ran into a number of problems while streaming them (most technical), but today should be different.  When the stream is running, the embedded playlist will be removed & replaced with the embedded broadcast & vice-versa, starting with today.

This run of the pollution problem has been happening every day since 12/6/2015, mostly (if not all) coming from E26

Health problems from indoor pollution today:
  • Chest Pains
  • Coughing
  • Dizziness
  • Earaches
  • Headaches
  • Irritated Eyes
  • Migraines
  • Ringing Ear
  • Seizures (Mild)
  • Sore Throat
  • Trouble Breathing
UPDATE:  Last night after I went to bed, I decided that doing the replacement of embedded YouTube iframes was more trouble than it was worth.  This is my blog, I'll just have them both up at the same time.  When a stream completes, it will be auto-added to the playlist on it's own; all I'll need to do is mark it as unlisted rather than private.

When I got up around 8:00 AM, the pollution was still a problem.  After this log was posted, it significantly decreased.  By morning, it was almost as strong in my home office as it was last night before I went to bed & it smelled like a toxic chemical spill at his front door again.  Right now I have to get a few things done that I don't want that information getting aired live, so I won't be starting the stream until a little later, but it's obviously going to end up starting regardless since the pollution never stops.  For the time being I am having to put my respirator back on so I don't end up just getting forced back to bed from the pollution.  If that moron next door would get it through his thick skull to knock it off, I wouldn't have a reason to continue doing this & these logs could potentially disappear, but it seems obvious that's not really important to him...

My father made a bid on the house we looked at a couple days ago yesterday; we should know in a week whether we got it or not.  As soon as we've been notified that we own the house (provided that happens), my father can start working on the house.  Seems there were more repairs needed to the house than originally noticed on the first 2 visits, but he doesn't intend on fixing it all right away & says some of it can be repaired after I move in.  Fingers crossed that I get it, so I no longer to have live next to this inconsiderate scumbag in E26.

UPDATE:  I got woke up by a call from a South Salt Lake Detective, which appears to have been in response to a tip I made through an anonymous tip website in regards to the expected drug use from E26.  Seems that what is expected based on smell is not enough to respond to the issue any further than attempting to speak to him; in other words, they weren't going to be able to follow through with a search warrant.  In the tip I stated that he wouldn't likely answer the front door based on his actions about a week ago where he didn't answer the door when the police came by to deal with the noise disturbance of his dog barking all the time.  In any case without actually seeing it happening, the police probably won't respond to it, so this looks like another form of manipulation of the legal system.

Something I was not aware of that the detective mentioned is there was supposedly a law change not long ago that prevented search warrants on drug users; apparently those are reserved for drug dealers, however I wouldn't be surprised if he was one as often as I smell it.  Another thing the detective stated was that the owner of E26 spoke to them only a couple days ago; at first I thought this was me calling them on the noise complaint, however that was longer ago & it became apparent it was a different situation when he mentioned him speaking to them about the conflict between him & I.  I would expect the only reason this came about would be the fact he had to go discuss the Animal Control notice that was left on his door when he didn't answer the door for the police.

I mentioned a few other things to the detective, such as the HOA wouldn't deal with the problem, the promise that was made to us by Building Management should this be a problem after moving in that was never kept, the number of steps I have taken to try & get this resolved, the latest being Senator Orin Hatch & District 44 House Representative Bruce Cutler & the complaint against the Murray Police for "not doing their job" as Charles has stated a number of times.  One of the final things I stated to the detective was the fact that we might be moving out soon particularly for this reason, recently looking at a house that we're hoping we're going to get considering a bid has already been placed.

In any case it seems the only thing they could do was what he called a "knock & talk", which in all honesty I told him would probably be pointless if he's not answering his front door.  Looks like for now I have to deal with it through my own methods until I can move out & keep my fingers crossed that we get this house & my father is able to make the repairs & changes needed as quickly as possible so I can finally get out of this nightmare of a community...

UPDATE:  After shutting off the broadcast regarding this problem, it didn't take long for the smell of spice & e-cigs/hookah to start building.  I couldn't use the respirator while trying to talk on the phone & the air purifier is too noisy to properly hear the conversation, so I just had to deal with the health problems I got while the stream was off & document the problem for logging here.  I'll be sure to make a big deal about this when I turn the broadcast back on, but for now this is what we have.

UPDATE:  Today has pretty well been a run of pollution for the majority of the day.  Any breaks from it has been brief lapses that lasted only a couple seconds to less than a minute.  The bastard in E26 seems to be getting more stubborn by the day, which is exactly why I've been going through other organizations trying to find a resolution.  At the rate things are going, I expect I'm going to be doing that background check pretty quickly.  I recently found out that Mugshots.com accepts information on individuals on their site provided you have a an online article you can link them to; I wonder if they'll accept background checks...

Indoor temperature reached a peak low of 64° F today due to being unable to use my heater via central air because of the constant pollution coming from E26.  This is also the reason why I had my gas shut off in September of 2015 knowing that I wouldn't be able to use my heater while this problem didn't have an end in sight & I didn't seen any reason in continuing to pay for a utility I wasn't using.  Because of the pollution, I have to avoid using central air otherwise chance sucking that pollution directly into my units through the vents, making the matter 20 times worse than not using it.  Currently all I have for heat is an old space heater my father lent me about 2 years ago when this problems started (shortly after moving in) & a portable condensation cooler I purchased when I had the income for it in 2014 (which really is not sufficient in the Summer, where indoor temps can still reach over 90° F & cause severe heat stroke on top of the health problems from the pollution).
